Country music legend Dale Watson was in town from Austin, TX. and put on a great show at the Lafayette Brewing Company. I was invited to take some photos so I thought I’d post a few samples:

Yet another mini engagement session! We’ll be doing a full session come warm weather, but what a great opportunity this was for all of us! I got to meet Colin for the first time, and he already seems to be one of those grooms I always appreciate working with; polite, good looking, but most of all very affectionate with Angela.
Some of you may be noticing the recurring black color scheme… what can I say? I like it and it works very well for these quick sessions!
Anyway… just look at these two!
Starting February 6th, ISP will be offering camera classes to the public. Dan Rhine will be instructing the courses, and with extensive experience and teaching credentials including Purdue University’s photography program, Dan should be able to offer something for everyone.
Get detailed information about the course on the website.
Classes begin February 6th, enroll now: 765-420-9621.
You may remember Seth Goodwin from a few posts back, he had his first modeling portfolio created with us. Cassie was supposed to have hers done at the same time but was ill, so last saturday we took the opportunity create three looks for Cassie’s portfolio.
We had a great time, Cassie did a great job, and thanks once again to “V” from Samson & Delilah for making our life even easier!
Chris, Michelle and their baby Rosemary are friends from here in Lafayette. Like many couples with a new baby, they succombed to the grandparent’s constant “where are our baby pictures?” inquiries, LOL.
So, we did a quick session today to appease the powers that be. Michelle specified red as the background color, which I’m always more then happy to use. Red seems so easy to work with to me.
Rosemary was quite well behaved and content for such a young one. Even Chris behaved himself!

Update 1/12/07: Website’s ready! Check it out!
We’re almost finished with the redesign of the Image Source website! Be sure and check in during the next few days to see lots of updated content, including some of our favorite images and detailed information about our products and services!
Update 1/23/07: A preliminary image:
Update 1/12/07: Construction of the sculpture has fallen a bit behind, so I won’t be shooting it this weekend as I thought. Stay posted and hopefully I’ll have images in the next week or two.
I’ll be shooting the cover artwork for the Pat McClimans Group’s upcoming new album “The Tower, the Robot or the Monster” this weekend. From what I understand, it’s some sort of installation sculpture that fills most of a room! Should be interesting. Hopefully they allow me to post some images ahead of the record’s release!
The ‘Daddies are the “other” vintage country band from the area. They’re good pals, so when they told me on Monday that they needed some new promo shots “like yesterday” I was glad to help. We shot these in the studio, some of them will run with a story in The Journal & Courier promoting The ‘Daddies show this Saturday at The Lafayette Brewing Company. They’ll be appearing with Deacon Sean and the Bar Brawlers.

Darcy and Jake are friends with Lacey and Dustin Deno, you may have seen their wedding on the blog a few months ago. I’ll be doing Darcy and Jake’s wedding as well, but for now we did their engagement portrait session. They had requested a few ’semi-formals’ to be shot in the studio, but what they were really interested in were some outdoor at night shots. We lucked out with very mild weather, BTW.
These turned out to be very exciting, IMO, but I’ll get to those as we look at some images:
Something simple, elegant and fun to start out:

Something a bit more ‘moody’ and interesting, perhaps:

Things get more colorful and relaxed as we move outside…

Speaking of color, I experimented a little with the white balance on this one to increase the mood:

Check back in September to see some wedding images!
