Kelsey came in last week for her Senior Portraits. My daughter Tennessee was on hand to help out, and we both agree that Kelsey is very, very pretty!

Ok, so I think this is the logo I’ve decided on:

All thoughts would be appreciated, please click on “comment” and leave your feedback!
Thanks, Dave
I’ve struggled for some time with this decision, but I think it’s time to modify the company image.
The first big change will actually be a new logo and… a new name! I’ve never cared for “Image Source” (an ex-business partner was fond of it), so the new name will simply be IS Photographic. Some of the more recognizable elements of the logo will be retained.
The new look (including a redesign of the website) will be more lighthearted and playful. I also have some additional content coming that should be informative and most importantly FUN, so stay tuned.
Dave
If you’re considering me for your wedding photography (and I hope you are!), please get in touch because much of next year’s calendar looks like it will be coming together soon. There are currently plenty of dates available, but the inquiries are really heating up.
Thanks!

What a day Saturday was! I’m going to jump right in because it’s going to be a longer than usual post, there’s just so much good stuff… and these are just my images… Tory has plenty, too!
Getting ready (click to view larger):

Arriving at the church and alone with Jon:

A couple of moments with the kids…

Wonderful images (of many) from the ceremony:

A nice surprise from Mickey (check out the sign):

And in front of a Lafayette landmark…

The Boilermaker Special…

… and a candid on board:

And continues with some very nice toasts:

And the party photos are great fun!

But I’m pretty sure the bouquet toss was totally rigged!

I hope everyone has enjoyed this preview… there is so much more to come! Check back in a few days for the album preview, where you’ll see the real gems (including the notorious downtown photos with Jon dancing!). Thank you to everyone who made this busy day so easy for us, you were all wonderful!
Looking forward to everyone’s comments, just click below.

A good friend referred Cathy & Dave to me for their wedding, and I have been looking forward to it! You may remember their engagement photos from an earlier post.
We got off to a comfortable start (by comfortable I mean 3:30pm LOL!) at Monticello’s United Methodist Church. I began with the the bride’s preparations, of course…

… where Cathy was more than happy to lend the other gals a hand:

A nice one of her dad Wes, I like the green:

We continued in the sanctuary, where the light from the stained glass windows was extraordinary…

You have no idea how many photos I got of the guys holding flowers! Please forgive me, Wes!

The ceremony was brief, but lovely…

Afterward, a few quick photos of the bridal party…

… and on in to the reception and Cathy and Dave’s first dance:

… and a shot of the rings I really enjoy. Here they are resting amid the party favors. “Rock Candy” – get it? Oh boy…

Ok, Wes, I hope this makes up for the flower shot… :0)

And what better way to end this post?

Thank you to the bridal party, friends and family for helping us with this special event! I’ve saved the best for album design, so check back in later this week!

Hey, I managed time to get some new photos of the band (with help from my friend Dan, I am in the photo after all, that’s me on the far right)! Pretty happy with the results, they’ll hopefully be getting plenty of mileage – we have lots of shows coming up. Check out our calendar and more on the myspace page.

A great family photo session, Amy is friends of Mark and Shayla Burkhalter, who’s wedding I photographed a couple of years back.
As always, Riehle Plaza in downtown Lafayette provided some wonderful opportunities.
So, without a wedding to shoot, I spent last Saturday goofing off with the kids. We headed downtown, and after answering a few emails and such from the office, we visited the Farmer’s Market:

Since tht was pretty much over for the day by the time we got there, we decided to go get some lunch. But first, just a few quick ones on the way…

… to Arni’s, where Aaron took this one of Tennessee and I:

I’m hoping to get us all up to the Dunes for some photos before Fall, in the meantime, I need to get some good photos of them riding their bikes, which is this summer’s big development. Hmmm, I don’t really have any other plans for this evening… we’ll see!
Again, it’s been a few weeks since the actual shoot, but I think the second half of Art and Mary’s Engagement photos are as exciting as the day they were taken. They are such an exuberant couple, so full of enthusiasm and playfulness!

Thanks, guys, for everything so far, can’t wait for the wedding!
